Longford Blooms is not too far away! November 14th & 15th, we'll be in the same magnificent garden we were in last year. If you haven’t seen it, it’s world class so allow time to soak it all in. Our host, Greg, has created a masterpiece.

Follow Longford Blooms for links to tickets and information.

Not been yet? It’s a must do event. Glorious open gardens and all ticket proceeds fund two critical charities, the local Longford Helping Hand and Care for Africa Foundation

We’re bringing along a selection of plants we’ve been growing exclusively for Longford Blooms patrons. Plants will be offered on a first come, first served basis. Here’s a sneak peek of one of our “LB exclusives (Jovellana violacea)”. You’ll find this violet coloured beauty in Greg’s garden and it clearly inspired us last year 👏

What an amazing winter it’s been!

Things have been incredibly busy here at the nursery as we gear up for what is shaping up to be our biggest season yet. Over winter we’ve been grafting, potting up, taking cuttings, sowing seeds and adding plenty of new plants to the collection. We’ve just finalised this seasons stock list, and it’s a big one — just over 300 different varieties!

We’re open most days by appointment, and alongside our regular appearances at the Exeter and Deloraine markets, we’ll also be holding regular open days here at the nursery. Dates will be announced on Facebook in advance, so keep an eye on the page.

We’re also very excited to have Longford Blooms locked in again this year, and it’s looking like it’s going to be an amazing event! Tickets are available now.

A quick note about the stock list:

The list (posted in comments) includes plants that are currently available as well as varieties that are still under propagation. If you’re interested in a particular plant, please get in touch with us for specific availability and line enquiries.

Keep an eye out for plenty of surprise additions throughout the season.

We’re looking forward to another fantastic growing season and can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on.

See you here at the nursery or one of the markets!

Paraná Pine (Araucaria angustifolia) 🌲

A close relative of the Monkey Puzzle (Araucaria araucana), the Paraná Pine is critically endangered in its natural habitat across southern Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay.

We’re so happy to have received some amazingly fresh and fertile seed from Tasmanian provenance.

The last time we managed to get our hands on this seed was back in 2023. We still have a few plants from that 2023 batch here at the nursery, which we’ve held onto to plant out on our property for future seed production (pictured).

This new batch has been sown directly into 70x150mm tubes and, if all goes well, tubestock will be available from Autumn 2027 in very limited quantities.

A fascinating and increasingly rare Araucaria — we’re excited to be growing it! 🌱🌲

We’ll be at Deloraine Market this Saturday 1st, from 9-1:30. Things are starting to pop in the garden, like the polar cap on this Wollemi Pine (pictured). Our nursery open days are currently on pause while we focus on propagating, potting up, and getting ready for the busy season ahead. Hopefully, this includes getting stuck into our own garden 😄. As always, we are still open by appointment.

Some beautiful Quince B rootstock from Maple Grove Nursery. We'll be grafting some Dutch Medlar (Mespilus germanica) scion wood to these ones 🌳🩹

See us at the Deloraine Market this Saturday, 9am -1pm.

We'll have a great selection of potted trees, shrubs & tubestock.

Last chance to grab tubestock before we pot on for next season!
