ANZAC BISCUITS 🇳🇿🇦🇺🍪 Behind a simple biscuit lies a story of distance, devotion, and care.

During the years of World War I, families across Australia and New Zealand baked what would become known as the ANZAC biscuit - crafted to endure long sea voyages to the soldiers of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, stationed so far from home.

With no eggs, and made from oats, coconut and golden syrup, it was designed not for indulgence, but for resilience. And yet, within its simplicity, it carried something far greater - a gesture of comfort, connection, and remembrance.

More than a recipe, it is a quiet symbol of care sent across oceans, and of the enduring bond between those who served and those who waited.

A beautiful morning in support of something that truly matters.

It was a joy to welcome friends behind the Green Door in support of the wonderful work of The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation - helping advance vital research into dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Thank you very much to Dr Eamonn Eeles for giving us such an informative briefing.

There is something rather special about bringing people together for a cause like this… with a little sparkle, a little laughter, a lot of learning and of course, some extraordinary pearls thanks to 5th generation Aji Ellies and his family’s remarkable pearling legacy.

TEFAF in Bloom 🌷

The Bloem collier, named for the Dutch word for flower, is a symphony of extraordinary gemstones, luminous pearls, and masterful artistry.

Inspired by the vibrancy of nature, this collier is a bold and radiant expression of my passion for exceptional jewels.

At its heart, eight remarkable tourmalines (totalling 240.56ct) take centre stage, including an exquisite 65.85ct gemstone that anchors the composition ✨

Surrounding them, twenty-seven large Australian South Sea baroque pearls, each measuring 15–20 mm, create a luxurious double strand, culminating in a rare 21 × 32mm pearl - a breathtaking focal point beneath the hero tourmalines.

Enriched with white and brown diamonds, blue, pink, and purple sapphires, pink tourmalines, amethysts, and rubellites, Bloem is a celebration of light, movement, and colour, all exquisitely set in 18-karat yellow gold 💛

I am honoured to see the Bloem collier featured in Galerie’s Top Picks from TEFAF Maastricht 2026.

Inspired by the vibrant florals of the Netherlands, this one-of-a-kind creation brings together eight remarkable tourmalines (including a 65.85ct centre stone), twenty-seven Australian South Sea baroque pearls and a joyful palette of rare gemstones in full bloom.

Set within rich teal surroundings at TEFAF Maastricht, I have designed this space as an immersive setting where each piece of jewellery shines. ✨

Luminous pearls, vibrant gemstones and sculptural colliers are revealed beneath softly lit glass domes and elegant vitrines.

Complementing the jewellery are delicate Murano glass artworks by Lucio Bubacco, whose whimsical glass sculptures add another layer of craftsmanship and artistry to the display at TEFAF Maastricht.
