I’ve always been a bit of a perfectionist 😏

Maybe it comes from years of graphic design, where everything had to be precise, aligned and exact.

Letting go of that took time.

But the jewellery I’m drawn to has never been perfect. It’s always the pieces with irregularities, organic textures, and slight imperfections that stay with me.

The ones that feel really personal. Like they couldn’t belong to anyone else.

That’s something I’m always trying to infuse into my own pieces.

They don’t look like much, until they are.

I was inspired by the organic markings of traditional mud cloth, and shaped the Mali Studs in sterling silver to echo that same imperfect, hand-drawn rhythm.

They’re simple, textured, and easy enough for you to wear every day.

I used blue quartz beads in shifting ocean tones, knotted slowly by hand, with an Australian boulder opal at the centre carrying flashes of turquoise and deep blue.

Honestly, I thought this one-of-a-kind necklace deserved its own mini photoshoot.
