Rhodium plating are treated for all our Sterling silver 925 jewellery. In fashion & accessory jewellery industry, most of jewellery are plated by chemicial rhodium plating which is not real rhodium elements contained at all, but it makes them the same colors as rhodium. But, in Rhia CollectionJewellery products, we use real rhodium plating which is much more expensive than platinum, the precious metal.
18CT GOLD FILLED
GOLD FILLED products utilize an outer layer of gold that is 18 karat in fineness. As thin as this may seem, the decorative show surface on many well executed gold filled items can last anywhere from 5 to 10 years depends on its usage! It is not unusual to observe reasonably intact gold filled surfaces on jewellery manufactured well over 75 years ago.
