Reconciliation Day & National Reconciliation Week 💙

Today we acknowledge Reconciliation Day in Canberra and this year’s National Reconciliation Week theme, “All In” — a reminder that reconciliation is a shared responsibility and requires all of us to play a part.

Please note there is no Nordek training tonight due to the public holiday. Training resumes as normal from Tuesday onwards 🤽🏼‍♂️🤽🏼‍♀️

The world’s best water polo teams are heading to Australia! 🌏🏆

The 2026 Water Polo World Cup Finals will be held at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre (SOPAC) from 22 - 26 July 2026, with the world’s top eight men’s and women’s national teams competing for the World Cup title! 🤽‍♂️🤽🏼‍♀️

The Ord Minnett Aussie Sharks and Stingers will be competing on home soil, making this one of the biggest international water polo events ever hosted in Australia 🇦🇺💚💛

As Nordek members, players, families, and supporters, this is a fantastic opportunity to experience international water polo at its highest level and get behind our Australian teams 👏

• Junior registration must be completed before Round 1 (link in bio)

• 12s–16s: half pool, 5-a-side, 2x10min halves
• Youth League: full field, 7-a-side, shot clocks in use
• Each team supplies 1 table official for their own game

If you’ve been invited to continue in the rep program, this is where you’ll find all training times and locations moving forward.

This Weekend’s Training Times:
🗓️ Friday
• U15: 7:15pm – 8:30pm
• U17: 8:30pm – 9:45pm

🗓️ Saturday
• U15: 11:30am – 1:00pm
• U17: 1:00pm – 2:30pm

⚠️ Important Reminders:
• Please do not arrive before the official start times this weekend - due to a camp, access will not be available before 7:15pm Friday
• All players, male and female, must wear a swimming cap (AIS policy)

Support Nordek’s Alex Punzmann 🤽🏼‍♂️🇦🇺

Alex has been selected to represent Australia at the U16 World Championships in Zagreb, Croatia this July/August - an incredible achievement 👏🏼

Alex has been part of the Nordek and ACT water polo community for 8 years, and this opportunity is the result of years of hard work, early mornings, and commitment in the pool.

As part of the tour, Alex will attend multiple national training camps and a pre-tour camp, with costs covering travel, accommodation, competition fees, and uniforms.

We’re asking our Nordek community to get behind Alex and support his journey 🇭🇷 Every contribution, big or small, will go directly towards helping him represent Australia overseas as he takes on some of the best young players from across the world - and all donations are tax deductible.

Australian Country Championships Wrap 🇦🇺🥈🥉

Big congrats to our Nordek athletes who represented ACT at the Australian Country Championships in Ballarat 👏🏼 Another strong tournament for .act across both men’s and women’s sides, with consistent performances and podium finishes continuing the program’s strong run 💪🏼

Declan helped the ACT Men claim back-to-back Silver Medals, going undefeated through pool play before a hard-fought final against NSW 🥈🤽🏼‍♂️

Eilis, MacKayla, and Mel all competed for the ACT Women, with the team bringing home a Bronze Medal for the fourth consecutive year, continuing their strong podium streak 🥉🤽🏼‍♀️

Caitlin represented the ADF Women, who finished the tournament strongly with a win to secure 5th place 🙌🏼

Special mention to our PLW goalkeeper and Senior Player of the Year Eilis Rogis for being named in the Tournament 7 team 🔥 Shoutout also to Kaitlin Davies ( ) and Hamish Ellison ( ) for their Tournament 7 selections 🐉 🦉
