Jen's Jumbled Jems Jen's Jumbled Jem's sells unique, handmade🙌 jewellery and hair pieces/fascinators–made with new and upcycled items. And PLEASE share if you like! Thank you.

This is more a labour of love❤️ and possibly insane compulsion, rather than for profit. Please check albums for prices/descriptions. 💚💚 As a person living with a disablity which prevents me from working full time, I have discovered a love of creating. Beads and jewellery and wire and feathers seem to have become my medium, and it's become something of an infatuation, not quite and obsession, yet! :P As there seems to be nowhere else to write any extra stuff about the actual sale process, please note that pick up is available, or post, so please PM the code of the piece/s you're interested in (the J letter/number and brief description along with your postcode for a postage quote.

After many weeks and months of feeling that I need to do more than share posts about the horrific atrocities being perpetuated against the Palestinian people by the Israeli government, I figured that this is one thing that I can do. This is my first, and somewhat experimental, piece in the’Shine for Palestine’ collection of jewellery I will be making with all proceeds going to support Palestinian aid through Oxfam Australia. I will be selling online as well as through my usual outlet Artisans of Australia. I welcome any positive suggestions, and please, feel free to contact me with any questions or orders. Thank you, and if you can – please donate through Oxford Australia. Otherwise, please share and help raise awareness.

My new range of ‘boho deco’ earrings. The first pair has Opalite beads, they’re all hammered copper with stainless steel hooks and the one that looks funny colours has been treated with my experimental flame patina. The idea is to bring out different colours in the copper.

Experimenting with flame tarnishing here. It shows up better IRL but in Photos but not bad, I think.

I followed a tutorial to make this locket – in so far as I follow any tutorial (I just use them as a guide and then improvise). I’ve reworked the catch and the hinge so everything’s a little bit more stable now. I have a piece of sea glasses that I found as well as a piece of Paua shell, and a small piece of haematite inside it, but you can change it over and put anything in there, as long as it’s not too bulky. I plan to try to make another one that is a bit deeper so that I can put larger stones in. We’ll see if and when I get around to that.

I used a flame torch to get various different colour effect into the copper before stealing it to keep the colours from fading. It’s sort of worked.

Finally, an accident that worked out! Experimenting with flames. I’ll have to seal it before it can be put up for sale but, otherwise, I’m quite happy with this effect. And I did it without a proper bracelet mandrill. First of many with this vibe I think. I’m getting into the tribal/rustic copper vibe lately.
