My name is Kristie Currie and I am a proud Mununjali woman. I was born in Beaudesert and was lucky that I spent a large part of my life on country. I now reside on the Gold Coast on Kombumerri country. Yalburu in our language means Happy. I chose this name as weaving makes me happy, it helps me to feel connected and also calms me.
