Here is our week in photos, beyond the workbench!

This week has been all about the reps, showing their sample product ahead of Christmas ordering 📦

It’s been a juggle being present for them and the collections while keeping the store “ticking over” (no pun intended!).

We saw Sapphire Dreams, Pink Kimberley Diamonds, Adina and our gold suppliers to make sure we have enough stock leading up to Christmas.

We’ve also had three massive selling days where we had more people in the store than we could fit. Thank you for your patience as we got to everyone, one by one.

Our repair lead time is currently sitting at 2 weeks, simply because of the sheer volume of work coming in. We’ve had some unique watches and clocks in for maintenance too.

As always, Liz’s sunset car park photos are a Greenwood Jewellers permanent fixture, and she’s back on the regular programming.

Liz attended the Venetians wind-up, where she plays and volunteers and we always sponsor. She was awarded a thank-you frame and w**e, which was pinned straight up on the wall.

And our staff are so excited about all the new products coming in that you may catch us trying on a few pieces just for “size”. 💍

⚠️ If your gold or silver chain looks like this….
⛔️ Take it off before you lose it.

Those sharp angles and fragmented links could be a sign your necklace chain is weakened and at risk of snapping.

When checking your gold chains, silver chains or everyday necklaces, look for links that bend unnaturally or sections that no longer move smoothly. This can indicate structural damage, making your jewellery vulnerable to breaking with even a slight pull.

If your chain is beyond repair, your gold or silver may still have value. Depending on the metal and your design, you may be able to use the precious metal towards a new custom-made jewellery piece.

Our Week In Photos, Beyond the workbench ✨

🔨 It’s been another busy week at Greenwood Jewellers, with new arrivals, designs taking shape and plenty happening behind the scenes!

✏️ Our week in photos takes you from freshly sketched custom designs and the arrival of the new Tree of Life pendants in gold and sterling silver, to new lab-grown diamond pieces, tennis bracelets and beautiful blue topaz jewellery arriving in store.

🧼 On the workbench, it’s business as usual: cleaning, polishing, welding, repairing watches and bringing well-loved jewellery back to life. We even had a marble clock come in for a new movement, proving there’s always something a little different to keep us on our toes!

👜 We’ve also been getting our new Sassy Duck bags settled into the front window, working behind the scenes on our e-commerce website, and Jacqui took some of our pieces out for a special occasion at the Bayswater Business Awards.

And of course, no week is complete without a little local wildlife making an appearance on the drive home!

Behind the bench & inside the workshop
Here is our week in photos 📷

It’s been another busy week at Greenwood Jewellers, with watch repairs, beautiful custom jewellery collections, new arrivals and plenty happening behind the scenes.

🔧 In the workshop: Jim has been tracking down the right watch movements for some of our incoming watch repairs, while the workbench continues to keep us busy.

✏️ Custom creations: We’ve welcomed customers collecting their beautiful custom-made pieces, including a stunning bangle and a new unique tanzanite pendant available in store now. Liz has also been busy bringing customer designs to life at the design desk.

❇️ Liz has redesigned her own ring with a large tourmaline, which she is very happy with!

📦 Behind the scenes: Liz and Jacqui have been working through packaging, presentation and processes as we prepare for our future e-commerce store.

👜 New arrivals: Our first drop of Sassy Duck stock has landed, alongside new NAJO jewellery and beautiful pearls. With Christmas stock starting to arrive, there’s plenty to unpack!

🙌 Supporting our community: We’re proud to be supporting the Greenwood Tennis Club Quiz Night and the Liwara Catholic Primary School Fair with donations for their upcoming events.

☕️ +🥪 Add in a few lovely lunches from Cafe Viazza and exciting new ranges to look forward to, and that’s another week wrapped up!
