Hermès is looking back to move forward. 👜

For Spring - Summer 2027, Hermès is revisiting its archives - from the revival of the 1949 Mangeoire to heritage Box calfskin, reimagined silhouettes and statement chain detailing.

& perhaps our favourite takeaway? Great leather goods aren’t designed to become obsolete.

Box calfskin is one of Hermès’ most historic leathers. It can show scratches, marks and wear with age, but it can also develop the beautiful patina and character that makes vintage Hermès so special.

A complete exterior restoration completed on a Grey Chanel Boy.

This piece had all existing scuffs on the leather restored and recoloured.
The service involved cleaning, leather bulld up, colour matching.

Hardware parts including the rings, clasp and chain strap were all cleaned and polished to finish.

One lovely client who found this beauty on the market, submitted this great find in for a refresh.

According to the data, Australia has not yet experienced a price increase amongst some of Chanel’s most Classic and wanted pieces. Have we been lucky Down Under, or was there a backlash reaction after the last increase?

Chanel has become art-filled, luxury with a touch of fun - has brought in colours, materials and designs we’ve missed, yet to see and have been shocked by. Fashion is more than just a bag; a form of expression, value and a whole lot of fun.

Bigger markets like the US and Europe have experienced every price lift. We don’t think that has stopped demand at all.

Vintage is having its moment again. 🤎

What was once tucked away at the back of the wardrobe is officially back on the moodboard.

Vintage Fendi Baguette bags have come full circle ✨ and with archival designer pieces becoming increasingly desirable, we’re seeing more clients choose to restore their vintage bags rather than replace them.

This Fendi came into The Reco Lab Sydney with years of wear. The iconic raised rubber FF monogram had become dirty and discoloured, multiple pieces were lifting from the fabric and the white leather had aged and marked.

Our restoration included:
