60 years of craftsmanship.

We recently gathered with 30 of our wonderful Sargisons staff and partners to celebrate an incredible milestone—our director, Gavin Cowell, celebrating 60 years in the jewellery industry.

True to form, Gavin didn’t want a fuss, but an achievement like this deserves to be shared!

Gavin originally acquired Sargisons in 1996, and has dedicated decades to building on our legacy as Tasmania’s oldest manufacturing jeweller.

Gavin is still here most days in our Hobart workshop. He continues to bring his immense expertise to the store, focusing on the professional jewellery valuations he is so highly respected for.

For six decades, Gavin has been a trusted fixture in the Tasmanian community. He has designed heirloom pieces for generations of local families, guided several of our on-site jewellers through their apprenticeships, and built a reputation rooted entirely in integrity and knowledge.

Thank you, Gavin, for 60 years of exceptional service and dedication. We are so proud to work alongside you.
