Early mornings. Finished before your day really begins.
While most people are still asleep, a small team is already out in open paddocks preparing hot air balloons for flight.
It’s calm, outdoors, and different every morning. You’re part of a ground crew helping launch and recover balloons across the Ipswich region.
We are currently looking for 1–3 Casual Driver & Balloon Ground Support Crew members.
This is hands-on, early morning work (around 4–6am starts, finishing mid-morning). Shifts are typically 3–4 hours, 3–4 days per week depending on weather and flights.
What you’ll be doing:
• Driving manual 4WD vehicles with long trailers
• Assisting with balloon setup, inflation, pack-down and recovery
• Supporting passengers and working with a small operational team
• Helping ensure safe and smooth flight operations
What we’re looking for:
• Manual driver’s licence (essential)
• Comfortable driving 4WD and towing a trailer
• Physically capable and reliable
• Able to follow procedures and work independently once trained
• Good communication and awareness on the ground
• Ability to meet aviation safety requirements (DAMP compliance) and early morning fatigue requirements
