One of our most loved designs, Lola features a pear shaped centre diamond framed by a modern partial bezel setting. Her sculptural 18k gold band flows softly around the diamond in an asymmetrical design, creating a contemporary take on the classic pear solitaire.

What does “Flawless” actually mean?

Diamond clarity refers to the tiny characteristics found within or on the surface of a diamond. Internal characteristics are known as inclusions, while external characteristics are known as blemishes.

Each diamond is assessed under 10x magnification, with a grader considering the number, size, position and visibility of these characteristics before assigning a clarity grade.

At the very top of the scale sit VVS, Internally Flawless and Flawless. To the naked eye, the difference between these grades is generally impossible to see - it is under magnification that the distinction becomes apparent.

A Flawless diamond has no inclusions or blemishes visible under 10x magnification, placing it at the very highest end of the clarity scale.

In natural diamonds, stones of this clarity are exceptionally difficult to find and come with a huge pricetag. Lab grown diamonds have only recently made these higher clarity grades more accessible, and we are seeing more clients drawn to the appeal of choosing a diamond with such an exceptional clarity grade.
