Introducing the Thylacine.

The first animal to emerge from Animals With Bite, The World of the Exceptional collection by W.J. Sanders.

The story began with the acquisition of an original 1930s W.J. Sanders Thylacine, mounted on malachite. Identified at auction by W.J. Sanders’ original 1930s Hallmark, the piece’s discovery revealed a remarkable piece of the brand’s silversmithing heritage.

Now reimagined for today, the Thylacine is handcrafted in sterling silver, with black enamel detailing, diamond accents and a natural malachite base. Each piece retains the distinctive character of the original, while celebrating the craftsmanship that continues to define W.J. Sanders.

Inspired by the acquisition of a heritage W.J. Sanders piece - a sterling silver thylacine mounted on a malachite base - the Animals with Bite collection reimagines Australia’s remarkable wildlife for today.
