We recently had the pleasure of listening to Robin Wells speak about the inspirations behind her newest collection, Double Rainbow.

The Perth-based artist invited us into her studio for a virtual tour, where she took us through her practice and generously gave us an in-depth look into the techniques she uses.

INTRODUCING GABBEE STOLP – We are excited to welcome Tasmania-based artist Gabbee Stolp this week.

Gabbee’s collection is inspired by bodies of water, specifically the Timtulli Minanya/the River Derwent, which runs through the town in which she lives.

Inspired by bodies of water, specifically the Timtulli Minanya/the River Derwent, Gabbee’s collection highlights our relationship to these places and the creatures that live within them. Signifying life, connection and transformation, they hold memories and tell us of deep history and of constant change.

Gabbee dialled in from Tasmania to discuss her practice and the inspiration behind a body of work that brings softness to the fore with equal parts tenderness and playfulness. Read more at the link in bio.

We recently celebrated Liv Boyle on the opening evening of her first solo exhibition for e.g.etal, titled ‘Shooting Stars & Electric Clouds’.

This special collection features a palette and materials that emulates moments and memories of time spent in Victoria’s picturesque Mornington Peninsula, and aims to capture a quiet connection between the individual and our natural environment.

Our team would like to thank Liv’s family, friends and fans alike for being part of this exciting evening. Shooting Stars & Electric Clouds is available showing at e.g.etal gallery until 30th April.

We recently welcomed the Advanced Diploma in Jewellery & Objects students from Melbourne Polytechnic to our gallery, for a talk led by our General Manager and Artist Manager.

The students were briefed on collection curation, artist representation at e.g.etal gallery, as well as guidance on crafting unique and cohesive collections that balance design-forward aesthetics with wearable pieces appealing to both niche and large audiences.

We’d like to thank the lecturers and students for visiting our gallery. Our team thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the industry’s future artists, we look forward to hosting you at e.g.etal again soon!

We recently had the pleasure of hosting Julia Storey for an artist talk, where she shared the concepts behind her beautiful jewellery, as well as her impressive collection of gemstones amassed over the years.

Inspired by an eagle’s eye view of a landscape, the ‘Shared Terrain’ designs show Julia’s signature patchwork terrains of yellow and white golds. Crafted by hand, each piece is meticulously placed together, creating a puzzle of gold with unparalleled precision.

Julia believes the patchwork also signifies a ‘patching together’ of memories, be it our relationship with others and our environment, or quiet memories with our internal self.
