Just like common White Diamonds, Fancy white diamonds are composed of pure crystallised carbon.

Their distinctive milky appearance however is a result of an extremely high concentration of submicroscopic inclusions and nano-inclusions trapped within and dislocation loops during formation,

Resulting in a presence best described as Opalesque.

Whilst most definitely a rare phenomenon, the heavy concentration of inclusions that constitute the bottom of the clarity grading system where an I3 (P3) grading is almost too kind and why hardly any Diamond Dealer wastes a penny on clarity grading,

This composition also results in a very attainable pricing.

Similarly even the most desirable and rarest of Natural Fancy Colour Diamonds can be obtained for very small amounts when inclusions have taken over.
