I am returning to India soon, for some of the most sacred parts of my work.
While I am there I will be choosing Vedic gemstones for those ready to receive their own. Large, unheated, untreated stones, exactly as the earth grew them. Gems like these are rare and getting harder to find, and the tradition insists on them for a reason. A true Jyotish gem carries its full living power only when it has never been altered by heat or treatment (99% of the world gems are geared, and most certainly the ones you see in all jewellery stores).
Each stone is selected for one person, according to their chart, for the planets that most support their path. Then we design the setting together and it’s made by hand in a very traditional, finished beautifully. What you are left with is not jewellery in the ordinary sense. It is a personal talisman, worn every day, for a lifetime, to draw good fortune and to hold you steady in your purpose.
For many this is a lifelong dream, to finally wear their own Vedic gem, (it took me 16 years patience to get my first one) chosen for you, with you and no one else. The shift people feel when they begin wearing it is hard to put into words. The energy, the luck, the blessings that move into a life. I have witnessed it again and again.
These gems can be large and very valuable, like the ones pictured. But I make for any budget, starting from around $1,500. We can begin in silver and upgrade to gold later, which many find a far gentler way to start.

It begins in the high foothills of Nepal, with this man who has walked these mountains his entire life. He travels to the trees, works with the families who harvest them, knows the difference between a seed that has ripened in its own time and one that has been hurried. He gathers only what is ready.
The beads then come to Haridwar where they are closely examined by hand, multiple times. Measured. Weighed. Studied for the depth of its mukhi lines, the symmetry of its form, the integrity of its surface. Most beads are set aside as ordinary. Some are kept for general sale.
