Ten years ago, I put a notice up at Koodak Jeweller's Supplies looking for someone to help me and my friends improve our soldering skills. Eva had recently arrived from London to start a new life in Australia. She answered the ad.

Eva taught at the Corky Saint Clair School of Jewellery for several years. Somewhere along the way, I asked her to make me a ring with crossbones (see picture 3). One ring led to many more, and eventually I asked her to join Corky Saint Clair full time.

Eva is the mastermind behind our hand builds. Anyone who has visited the shop has heard me call her a genius. I always say, ‘It’s fine, tell me your concept, Eva will finesse it and make it look amazing’. And she always does!

To celebrate our ten years anniversary, I designed the chunky, bubbly ring in the second photo for her. It’s built in 18K yellow gold with a 1.5 carat oval cut diamond. I knew she wanted one because over the years she said that’s what she wanted.

Working together for ten years is an achievement 👏👏

Beyond all the incredible jewellery we’ve made together, I’m grateful for ten years of growth, conversation and companionship. It’s been a wild and wonderful ride ❤️❤️

Our IMMORTELLE wedding set is an inspiring embodiment of how perfectly two rings can fit together. The ziggurat shaped wedding is finished with milgrain creating a feeling of handmade luxury that elevates the entire ensemble.

A detail from the native bouquet Adele sent to thank us for her beautiful diamond Horizon ring. The bouquet arrived on Corky Saint Clair’s 23rd anniversary, completely unexpectedly.

Reflecting on the experience of running Corky Saint Clair, I always tell people that the best part of the job is our clientele. I’m so glad I got to meet Adele and work on this with her.
