At CUSHLA WHITING, we believe fine jewellery should be both extraordinary and approachable. With our extensive archive of ethically sourced diamonds and rare gemstones, we champion the bespoke and the specialised, crafting modern heirlooms for generations to come.

Founded in 2014 by siblings Cushla, Hamish, and Anna Whiting, our brand blends gemmological expertise with architectural design sensibilities and responsible business practices. Drawing upon Cushla’s background as an architect, our ethos is heavily inspired by architectural principles, all while celebrating a bygone era of craftsmanship. Our GIA-certified gemologist, Hamish, works from the prestigious Antwerp Diamond Bourse, sourcing our exceptional stones from an established network of ethical suppliers. Anna ensures every element of our service meets our exacting standards, from production to customer experience.

Each of our pieces is handcrafted in our Melbourne workshop, where traditional techniques converge with a modern design ethos. Whether it is a rare Colombian emerald, an antique diamond, or a coloured sapphire, every design is inspired by the unique character of each stone. Our master artisans bring these designs to life through time-honored craftsmanship, resulting in creations that are both striking and wearable.

Two SKYLINE rings, made for a couple with serious design instincts.

The first centres a cushion cut Madagascan sapphire, vivid blue, brought to us by the clients themselves. The second, a pear brilliant cut diamond, GIA certified and ethically sourced by Hamish Whiting in Antwerp.

The SKYLINE silhouette draws from the New York skyline of the 1920s, a nod to the Art Deco era given a modern, almost futuristic edge. Each centre stone sits horizontally, framed by asymmetrical cascading gold steps in a unique brushed finish.

One for the architecture lovers.

Available as a bespoke commission with any oval, round or emerald cut centre stone, symmetrical or asymmetrical, in the metal of your choice.
