COMMON FAQS I GET ⬇️

💬 Do you cast in place?
No. It’s a good place to start learning though. But you will eventually find your designs are limited to a certain style (very molten/organic).

💬 Do you cast at home?
No (mostly). I send my waxes away to a casting house. I have articles on my blog on how to do this. Sometimes I sand cast but that’s a whole other skill.

💬 How did you learn?
Practice, trial and error, lots of tears. You can either teach yourself like I did or learn online if you’re feeling frustrated. I have a self paced online course that goes for 8 hours that teaches you how to make sick jewellery.

💬 Do you make all your jewellery like this?
Yes. I used to use silver clay but I outgrew it. I don’t silversmith because wax is more fun lol

Hand-formed in sterling silver using the lost wax method. Pink sapphire, lab ruby, amethyst, aquamarine, and lab spinel all set by hand to represent her grandparents’ birthstones ✨

I always prefer hand setting because it allows for such a bigger range of designs (making something like this using cast-in-place would be impossible). It also gives me much more detailed control over my work and how the final piece turns out.

I love doing monotone colour palettes like this blue, green, and lilac sterling silver ring I created last year. We went for a cult favourite star shaped gemstone and added some juicy lab and natural gemstones to match 🧚🏼‍♀️

Created using the Lost Wax technique (as always) locally in Australia 🫶🏼
