I was thinking about the Christmas Markets as it is that time of year. Then I started to think about Qualup Bells not Christmas bells. 😜

Qualup Bells have beautiful nested bracts with a lovely gradient of colour. Inside the bells are elegant long stamens.

As a result of my one track mind,🌸🌺🌹 these titanium earrings are a homage to our beautiful Australian Qualup Bells and all of our lovely bell flowers. Anodized titanium and sterling silver.

The colors wouldn’t co-operate today. They were dull and didn’t pop. Fortunately titanium can be re-anodised.

Sold! Painted Swirls (left) are on their way to W.A. I am grateful and hope they bring much joy.

These titanium earrings were painted with an electrified paintbrush soaked in electrolyte. The length of time the brush sat on the titanium did the rest. Less time = lower voltage (bronzes, dark purples and dark blues) More time = higher voltage (lighter blues) I love the watery effect.

The technique gives variable results. The first pair were more subtle. (right) (available on my Madeit store)

One of the many techniques I use while anodising titanium to create wearable art.

BTW...it is rather difficult to paint while wearing rubber gloves! It is also quite a fashion statement.
