✨️Fraser coast show ✨️

Well as always it was a good show the cattle all behaved and did the simmental breed proud.
A lot more people know what simmental are now a lot of people want them.
It was a close one the judge struggled for a while there a hair off of winning supreme female and supreme male of the show.

Almost supreme but he had one of his testicles sucked up slitly when the judging was on.

Only her second show no Placing in a massive class of female 6 to 12 months

Female 6 to 12 months 🥇1st
🏆Junior champion large breeds female 🏆
Almost supreme female the judge took his time but the cow won In the end as she has produced.

Surprised to win Breeders group up against a group with the supreme female and supreme male in it but Jack had his testicles right so the judge put us in first over them that's how close we where to winning supreme female and male.

Today was a hard one I had to say goodbye to my favourite little man Silver Linings Western Star
Our time together was short and I know you would have grown into a stunning bull but unfortunately he had what we thought was bloat on my birthday and he did slightly get over that but went down hill again and had the vets out they where a little baffled as to what was wrong with him.
Today they came back out to do ultrasounds and unfortunately his bladder had ruptured. It is a freek thing but it does happen and unfortunately now my little Western has his wings I hope I see him again such a good bull first one up for a pat, puppy dog nature do anything for me follow me anywhere. Love you for ever the show team will not be the same with out you.❤️😭.

We are back at it
It feels like forever since we have been in the ring as most of the shows where postponed
It was a first show for one of the heifers with the others only having one show before this.

We had great success under the watchfull eye of Marty Rowlands it was great to hear he's thoughts on our cattle.

We judged 4 excellent charolais bulls from River Run charolais
I went on to win I'm off to EKKA to represent the south burnett it's only the second time I've represented for stud I'm usually more of a prime judge but listening to Marty all day must have rubber off on me.

We went to gayndah show
But not with cattle instead taking one of my high jumping dogs Sam
I wanted some new competition and new surroundings for him and what a great line up of dogs there was there. It's safe to say we will be trying to make it a regular show with Sam and maybe with cattle.

Sam came away with 1st place my little champion 🏆 🥇

Almost forgot about proston show results
So much has happened it's now the only show for March after murgon and goomeri where postponed due to the flooding.

It was a good show the rain held off until the dog jumping in the afternoon. We had a fresh team for proston all babys except for jack and tinkerbell.
They behaved very well I forgot to put a show cain on them until we were in the ring but no reaction no one pulled back or misbehave that's all I aim for at the first show of the year.

Went for a tie up I was going to show her at the next show really well behaved. 🏅

1st🥇 senior champion European female 🏆

It is my last year to complete in the young judges.
But I came away with 1st stud and 2nd prime judges

Dog jumping
There where a lot of dogs there this year despite the rain. Sam jumped to the top and tied with a kelpie it went to crowed vote with Sam being the winner 🏆

Looking forward to the next show in the mean time we keep having a Silver Linings show on the weekend to make up for the missed shows.

A little wet now one extreme to another
We where nearly in drought stocking up on hay and then 370ml of rain in 2 days and still raining 🌧
Cattle are all safe.
Talking more later in the week hopefully we get some hot days to pull the grass out the ground before winter.

We made it 🙌
What a year 2025 has been for us hear at Silver Linings simmentals.
I know there are lots of photos but a lot has happened this year.

✅ ️finally went over to WA to look at bandeeka and got a Heifer and a bull
✅️took our biggest show team to all the shows successfully all 7 shows
✅️lots of broad ribbons as well as a few clean sweaps.
✅️finally got a broad ribbon at ekka 🎉🏆
And a trophy.

Can't wait to see what 2026 brings with some really amazing calves we have on the ground .
Ones again thank you everyone who supports us it really is appreciated
