Some love stories deserve to be told. And this one begins with a surprise that Lizzy never saw coming.

A few days before the proposal, Lizzy casually suggested a date night. Jason offered to take care of the plans, promising to organise a surprise dinner. And because surprises have always been Lizzy’s love language, she didn’t suspect a thing.

Little did she know, he had something far more special planned.

In the backyard of their home, a little space they’d poured so much love into making their own, the two were trying to capture a photo with their beloved dog, Ruby.

And then, in the middle of an otherwise ordinary moment, Jason got down on one knee.

Even Ruby joined in, dancing around them as though she knew exactly what was happening 🥹

What followed was the kind of evening you wish you could bottle up forever. Ch*****ne with family, a beautiful dinner at 6HEAD, rooftop celebrations at the Ritz and, somehow, the night ending at the Elizabeth Quay food markets, dressed to the nines and eating food truck donuts.

Not quite the ending you’d expect to such a romantic evening, but according to Lizzy, it couldn’t have been more them.

And perhaps that’s what makes this story so special. A proposal in the place they call home, surrounded by the little things that make their love their own.

We had the privilege of creating Lizzy’s engagement ring, and knowing it would become part of a moment like this makes what we do all the more meaningful.

To Lizzy and Jason, thank you for letting Behnam be a small part of your beautiful story. Here’s to a lifetime of surprises, laughter and, of course, a few more late-night donuts.
