45 years — must be doing something right!!

I’ve met a lot of great people along the way, worked on all sorts of things, and never really known what the next job through the door might be. You’ve kept me guessing and on my toes.

I’ve been fortunate to have customers who have supported me, trusted me and kept coming back. You don’t get to 45 years without that, and I certainly don’t take it for granted.

So thank you to everyone who’s been part of the past 45 years — and if you’re new, come in and say hello. There’s plenty more to come.

45 years in Northam 💎 TODAY 24 August 1981

It all started with Ballantyne Jewellers in Northam.

Over the years the shop changed, the displays changed, the fashions certainly changed — and a lot of wonderful people became part of the story.

These photographs are a look back at some of those early years: Les at the jeweller’s and watchmaker’s bench, Mary helping behind the scenes, our staff, the original Northam store and a few newspaper clippings we have kept along the way.

What began as a local jewellery store became part of many Northam families’ lives — engagements, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, repairs, watches, gifts and plenty of familiar faces coming through the door.

45 years later, we are still here in Northam.

Thank you to our staff, customers, friends and families who have been part of the journey.
