Kaleidoscope, by Edward Swaab.

Fond memories of the old cardboard kaleidoscopes Edward grew up with were inspired when deciding what to create with this beautifully vibrant, Australian Parti Sapphire from our private collection.

Fashioned in a trapezoid, step-cut style, with predominant yellow colouration and a hint of blue colour zoning in it's corner, the interplay of colour changes at every viewing angle.

Embraced in 18ct Rose Gold flutes featuring bezel set Princess cut diamonds emphasises both colour and feel in this one-of-a-kind masterpiece.

Who said guys can't have an engagement ring too? (They can!) 😊

When Liam & Caitlin came in to discuss their wedding rings with us, Caitlin jokingly mentioned that Liam felt like he missed out on having his own engagement ring (after going on the journey of creating her very special Alexandrite engagement ring with us).

Well, we ran with that idea and Edward created a concept for his engagement/wedding ring design that could be worn as a set, or individually.

The agreed concept contains their initials - C&L - in abstract intersecting lines, and features tapering winter-sky blue sapphires, and a fireball whisky coloured diamond from the Argyle mines, set in Platinum with a sand-blasted finish.

We kept the finishing piece timing secret and Caitlin managed to surprise Liam and get down on bended knee!

With September just around the corner, we'll be sharing some one-off masterpieces we've created for clients that feature one of our favourite gemstones - Sapphire, the birthstone for September.

This bespoke engagement ring is set with unheated Sapphire in range of pastel hues, as well as white and champagne Diamonds. Handmade in Platinum with 3x purposely chosen 18ct Rose Gold settings to highlight & contrast the colours in the piece.
