Sundays project for the shop!
Tasmanian natural Gold nugget pendant with Tasmanian, natural Blue Sapphires (unheated and untreated).
The S shaped bar was made out of 18k yellow gold.. I shaped it to follow the natural contours of the nugget and carved a seat in the nugget to set it into. The bail and jump ring are also made from 18k yellow gold.
This nugget is 97% + pure so the colour is very buttery compared to the 18k.
I likecthis one😁.
The nugget weighs 7.5g wothout the 18k gold additions!!!

Todays project for the shop.
This was fun to play with!
Tasmanian natural Gold nugget pendant with a Tasmanian, natural Blue Sapphire (unheated and untreated).
So with this piece, I created a pocket by undercutting some of the natural undulations of the nugget to create an invisible setting for the sapphire. This makes it look like the gold grew around the stone!
It was finicky, but I got it😁.
To compliment the Tassie Gold and Sapphire, I made the bail and jump ring from 18k yellow gold and set a natural diamond into it.
This nugget is 97% + pure so the colour is very buttery compared to the 18k.

Just finished for the shop!
Tasmanian Sapphire ring.
All of stones are natural, unheated and untreated Tasmanian Sapphires. The main stone is pale blue in colour and measures 4.7mm. The 3 side stones are 2.7mm in diameter and I used a mix of pale blue and royal blue to accent.
This is a lighter make in 9k yellow Gold with the band being 2.2mm wide at the base and tapering up toward the setting.

Just finished for the shop!
Tasmanian Sapphire and Diamond flush set, domed ring.
The stones are Natural, unheated and untreated Tasmanian Sapphires ranging in size from 1.85mm up to 3.0mm. The Diamonds are natural (not lab grown)!
The stones are bright with good play and are accented well with the ice white diamonds.
The ring itself is 6.5mm wide and made from 9k yellow Gold. Its a hefty yet comfortable ring!.

A recent custom make for a client😊.
The centre stone is a baguette cut natural Diamond, which I removed and reused from one of her old rings.
The brief was to add a soft pink tone for the side stones, so we went with natural Morganite in a trillion cut, which accented the Diamond perfectly.

This stone is just superb!
Its NFS at the moment... as its on hold pending client approval for a ring make. But you never know😉... They may chose a different stone☺️.
2cts of Tassie Sapphire goodness. All natural - unheated and untreated. As usual, the vids dont do the stone justice.
