Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be writing this post.
I know success is measured differently by everyone, and in the grand scheme of things 12k followers may not be the biggest achievement in the world. But for me, it represents something much more.

MATAKII began as a little pop-up shop just weeks before COVID. We started from absolutely nothing, with a dream, a lot of hope, and a willingness to work incredibly hard. Never did I imagine that this little shop and online shop would grow into what it is today.

There is no way I could have done this alone. I am blessed to have the most incredible team working beside me. They treat Matakii as if it were their own, and their dedication, passion and support are a huge part of everything we have achieved.

I also want to thank my family. To my hubby, thank you for standing beside me through every high and low and supporting this crazy little dream.
To my children, thank you for helping me in so many ways even if it has come with a whole lot of whinging, laughter and tears lol… Running a small business means alot of sacrifices, and I am so grateful for your love.

Most importantly, thank you to every single one of you who has followed our journey, supported our small business, shopped with us, left a comment, sent a message, or simply cheered us on from afar. Your trust, love and support mean more than you will ever know.

One of the comments we hear most often when customers walk through our doors is, “I feel like I’ve been transported back to Greece.” Those words never get old. They remind us why we do what we do and make all the incredibly hard work, challenges and sacrifices worthwhile.

From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for helping us reach this milestone. Thank you for believing in MATAKII and allowing us to bring a little piece of Greece into your homes and lives.
