In mythology, pearls were formed from the tears of the love goddess, Aphrodite, and came to symbolise love and purity.

This chocolate gemstone was salvaged from a much-loved ring our client received as a gift from her sister, having gotten too thin through years of love and wear. She loves the stone and wanted to bring it back to life in a new design for her birthday.

We wanted to achieve a substantial feel inside a low-profile design that allows the gemstone to shine as the feature of this ring. Our client chose a unique ribbed finish for the band to add visual interest (and is also very tactile!).

A ring made to feature a lovely green gemstone that our client fell in love with (whilst on a visit to see her daughter in Queensland) but ended up leaving behind. Later, her husband secretly sent their daughter back to buy it as a surprise, which was made extra special as it was uncharacteristic of him to organise.

We opted for a refined design to let her gem shine as the feature. She was initially undecided between a plain band or adding a diamond on either side, so we compromised with a simple cuff raised on each shoulder to bring a little extra shape to the ring without taking away from the green feature.

Using her late husbandโ€™s wedding ring, our lovely client wanted to make a meaningful piece for her daughter so that a part of him could still walk her down the aisle at her wedding. We incorporated her favourite colours, including a demantoid garnet (green) for her birthstone, cradled inside the gold.

We fitted a simple frame on the back for the chain to pass through, to keep it stable about the neck and to allow it to be worn different ways, if desired.

A truly show-stopping necklace hung with a Rose de France amethyst as the feature on a handmade, silky rose gold chain. The 4x1 link combination adds a subtle interest to a simplified chain style, which brings a lovely enduring feel for this delicately coloured piece.

What started as a simple line drawing evolved into a family tattoo and now a silver pendant for each member. We recreated the design by shaping solid wire and soldering the joints into placeโ€ฆ and did that ten more times!

Our client wanted to increase both sparkle and practicality to her wedding set; hereโ€™s what we came up withโ€ฆ

Her three rings became one, which eliminates individual friction wear; we changed tall and pointy claws for a feature bezel and low-profile settings; and, along with her original diamonds, added enough sparkles for two rows of diamonds.

She also had some mixed gold jewellery that she didnโ€™t wear anymore and, inspired by a friendโ€™s bangle, had a new piece made that could be cherished anew.

A rich citrine is supported by a cluster of diamonds as the design feature of this bangle, framed by a ribbon of gold, but the hinged opening is also part of the magic! This opening element allows for a neater fit on her wrist, whilst remaining secure with a firm closure and safety latch.
