When we dream of our perfect cocktail ring - this is her. A fabulous emerald cut swimming pool of a blue stone in a chunky linear white gold ring. If we had won the lotto, this would be an aquamarine, but this is literally the next best thing. A ring, that in passing looks like an aquamarine, in amazing condition, set in a lovely chunky and solid 14ct white gold setting. So what is she? She is blue topaz - of the most mesmerising swimming pool on a sunny day colour. So lovingly was this ring made that the carat weight of 15.41 has been inscribed on the inside. Held in a lovely 14ct white gold setting, we love it when the claws are almost talon-like - long strong and a lovely feature to hold the amazing stone in place. Speak to anyone in the jewellery trade, and bigger stones are getting harder to come by and and pricier to purchase. Please feel free not to buy her and Jacqui and I will go to time sharing her - because we both want her that badly.

Chunky silver chains like this have become iconic due to their popularity with brands like the big T. We love the shape of the cable links and how from every angle they are chunky and have a great rounded profile. This vintage chain is chunky and the rounded oval links sit beautifully along the collarbones. The round clasp closes inwards which helps keep the chain secure. It can also be worn at the front as a detail with the dark ribbed detailing, or even to hang pendants from.

You know how we feel about an old cut diamond. They stop us in our tracks and we marvel at the skill and craftsmanship that was able to facet and polish stones like this over 100 years ago. This delightful little old cut - with its open culet staring back at you is held secure in four claws in a recessed heart with fabulous texture that the 1970s loved to use.

This ring is a lovely little chunky cast gold ring - that from the profile looks plain and we can admire the smooth gold surfaces - but that face - so unique - and we love it.

Everyone needs a pair of diamonds studs - they are just the staple to every jewellery wardrobe.
