Australia Post has announced its recommended last lodgement dates for Christmas 2026, so it’s time to start planning those special little gifts! 🎁

📮 **Parcel Post**
• Most states: Monday 21 December
• WA, TAS & NT: Monday 14 December

📮 **Express Post**
• Most states: Wednesday 23 December
• WA & NT: Tuesday 22 December

These dates are for **metro locations**. Regional and remote areas need additional delivery time, so please plan ahead.

We ship from the **Sunshine Coast, Queensland (postcode 4558)** and will continue lodging parcels right up to **23 December**. Please remember that these are Australia Post’s lodgement dates—not last-order dates—and you’ll need to allow time for us to prepare and dispatch your order too.

During peak periods, we ask you to allow **up to two business days for dispatch**. Exceptional order volumes or unexpected circumstances, such as severe weather, can occasionally extend this.

Under normal conditions, though, **more than 90% of orders received before midday on a business day are lodged that very same day!** We’re very proud of that dispatch record and work hard to get your parcels on their way as quickly as possible. 💛

**Ordering after 14 December and hoping for Christmas delivery? Please contact us before placing your order.** We can confirm our current estimated dispatch time and help you consider the delivery timeframe for your location, so you have the information you need to decide.

In our experience, Australia Post is generally reliable right up to its recommended dates, and many orders placed in the final week have arrived in time. However, Christmas volumes can be unpredictable, and these dates are recommendations rather than guaranteed arrival dates.

A little early planning makes Christmas gifting much less stressful—and gives you more time to enjoy the smiles and sparkles! ✨

📦 A quick note about Australia Post delivery estimates

We’ve recently noticed that Australia Post has started displaying much longer estimated delivery times on some Express parcels. These estimates are often showing well over a week, which has understandably caused concern for some customers.

However, in most cases we’re seeing the parcels arrive much sooner than those estimates suggest — sometimes even before customers contact us to ask about them.

We completely understand why seeing a long ETA can be worrying, especially if you’re buying a special gift. We just want to reassure everyone that the postal network is still moving quickly and most parcels are arriving within the normal timeframe.

At Baby Jewels we pride ourselves on very fast dispatch - much quicker than the industry standard.

Our official dispatch timeframe is up to 2 business days during busy periods, however we almost always ship much faster than that. Our current dispatch statistics are:

✨ 50% dispatched the same business day (orders placed before midday)
✨ 42% dispatched the next business day (orders placed after the midday cutoff)
✨ Only 8% dispatched within two business days

To ensure same-day processing, orders must be packed, booked and lodged before our 3pm post office cutoff so they make the 3:30pm Australia Post collection.

On the rare occasion an order is delayed beyond two business days, we will automatically upgrade the parcel to Express Post at no additional cost to the customer.

Once a parcel has been handed to Australia Post, the delivery timeframe is unfortunately outside of our control, and the ETAs shown in tracking are estimates rather than guarantees.

If you ever need an order by a specific date, we always recommend contacting us before placing the order so we can help advise the best option.

We truly appreciate your patience and kindness — especially towards small family businesses like ours who are working hard behind the scenes to get your orders out as quickly as possible. 💗
