Originally built one in May '23 and I recently had my arm twisted to make another. I was hessitant but it was fun stabbing myself with a sharp needle again.

The elusive 69 ^.^Seiko discontinued the SRPE69 a while ago. A shame really as the were a great base to do simple mods ...

Seiko discontinued the SRPE69 a while ago. A shame really as the were a great base to do simple mods like this strap and lightning second hand swap. There are still some new ones kicking about but you really have to go hunting to find them.

Nothing wrong with enjoying a bit of nostalgia on your wrist. ^.^

Daniel was the Director of Operations for a golf team that won a championship in 2008. They received a gold ring and a cheap quartz watch with this dial in it. Years later he got the urge to rehouse the dial in a nicer case with an automatic movement.

It has made a perfect companion for the weekend trip to the driving range. 😁

So hear me out... It's the late '90's and I'm a fashion tragic. Colorado is an Australian clothing brand for the masses and they just happened to be selling self-branded cataolgue watches. Fancying myself as a bit of a trend setter (delusional more like it) I owned several pieces of their clothing and so it made sense to buy one of their watches.

Behold the Colorado Traveller, a quartz 3 hander with a world time chapter ring and a rotating 24 hour bezel which feels as smooth now as the day I bought it. Sadly no sight of a GMT hand... It's the second watch I ever owned but my oldest in my collection. I had to replace the movement 5 years ago and it's still going strong, unlike the company who sadly went bust in 2011.

Related to Colorado, and I probably shouldn't be sharing this but whatever, I own and am currently wearing a grey Colorado jumper which was gifted to me in the early 2000's. It has a few holes to be sure, it's even see-through around the belly area... but it's my comfort jumper and I have worn it around the house every winter for 20 years now. My wife has been at me to throw it away for a decade but that's not happening, nah-uh. What does need to happen though is handwashing as I fear it will wither away one of these winters.

JDM SBDC051 with two key changes in a nod to the original 62MAS design. The hands are 3 faceted with matching lume and the ceramic insert is gloss coated and lumed as well. While the original was neither coated or ceramic, this just looks good. ^.^

The caseback was by far the tightest of any watch I've worked on. It took me a few nerve wracking minutes to get it off. I could see myself slipping and scratching the thing beyond repair but fortunately it gave way with a loud crack to reveal the awesomeness of the 6R15 hiding underneath... Someone at Seiko needs to calibrate their machine. 😅
