While I’m here in Goulburn for the Lilac City Festival, I wanted to give a shout-out to Made for Wildlife. 🐾
Made for Wildlife is a local organisation doing something pretty special for wildlife carers across the Southern Tablelands. They turn community crafting into fundraising, with 100% of the profits from the items they sell going towards infrastructure and equipment for local wildlife carers.
Their current project is raising funds for a new dual wombat enclosure in Marulan, which will give local carers room to take in and prepare even more wombats for release.
And there are lots of ways to get involved — you can make or design wildlife-themed items for them to sell, donate directly to a project, donate useful materials, support them at local markets and events, nominate a local wildlife carer or project that needs help, or even lend a hand when it’s time to build.
