When ladies buy their own rings 💅🏻

I love when women approach me wanting to have a ring made for themselves because they deserve it. Being partnered up doesn’t mean that you have to wait around for someone to buy you a beautiful piece of jewellery. In fact the first rings I made myself featuring diamonds and gold (not including my initial basic silver rings that I practiced on in university) were to celebrate making it through my first few years of business.

In this case, however I had already made Sophie her engagement and wedding ring and she came back to me years later asking me to make a ring to celebrate her milestones. Initially, she wasn’t sure whether she was going to have a ring made to stack next to her engagement and wedding ring or have one made to wear on the other hand. Once she saw a selection of sapphires, she chose a stand-alone ring.

This ring features an incredible bi-colour sapphire, meaning it has aspects of translucency contrasting with shocks of electric blue.
There are diamonds asymmetrically set to each side, which from a distance look balanced 😍

I loved making Sophie‘s third Bert ring and love imagining her wearing them 💕

I just love it so!

Those diamonds are so unique and special.
Have you heard of old mine cut diamonds before? They are a cushion shape but rather than having a modern brilliant-cut, they are cut in a vintage style.
They tend to be characterised by those larger facets.

Congratulations again to my gorgeous customers on the upcoming birth of their baby. I love that Jackson couldn’t wait to present the ring to Lauren as soon as he got home from collecting it ✨

A special ring to celebrate an extra special tiny new arrival 👶🏼
It feels really important to have made Lauren’s engagement ring, wedding ring and now a ring to symbolise hers and Jackson’s new arrival. I know they’re going to be the most incredible parents.

…for the month of July.

✨ Well that caught your attention! ✨

Yup, every winter I close for a month. It was always in my plan when I set up my business and it’s one of the main reasons I keep my business small (but mighty) and manageable…because I don’t want to even think about work when I’m overseas.
Often, in Aussie winter, I’ll head back to Wales, where I grew up, to spend quality time with my loved ones. As important as Bert is to me, being able to spend time with my mum uninterrupted, is more important. I also generally try to sneak in a little European holiday too.

❤️‍🔥 So with that in mind, here’s my seven week warning ❤️‍🔥

• If you are hoping for a ring before August, please email
[email protected]
within the next 2-3 weeks and we’ll get the ball rolling.

• Rings take me 5 weeks to make, so I still have capacity to make rings in the next 7 weeks, but you MUST get in touch in the next 2-3 weeks.
After that, the next batch of rings that I make will be due at the end of August.

Thank you for following me along on this journey and for your patience. I’ve always chosen to run my business my way and when people have asked me about scaling up, hiring more staff, opening a shop, this is probably my main reason why I don’t.
I have full control of every detail of Bert. I can give my customers 100% of me when I’m here and I can close and immerse myself in life outside of work when I’m away.
I appreciate you.

They nestled into each other. Perfectly. As though I’d purposely made them to sit alongside eachother.

I’d made them separately — Runa’s first, while making her engagement ring.
Then I started on Celeste’s wedding ring.
I thought about them individually and envisaged how they’d sit with their respective engagement rings the whole way through. And then I brought them together for these videos and just… oh! 😍 Wow.

I think that’s the thing about making rings for two people who are meant for each other. Sometimes they just fit.
