Women's Creative Hub

Women's Creative Hub Currently not operating. WCH is an inclusive and empowering space for women from asylum seeking and refugee backgrounds.

Permanently closed.

The Women’s Creative Hub (“WCH”) is run by the House of Welcome in partnership with the Community Migrant Resource Centre and Enactus Macquarie. WCH seeks to encourage financial independence, social connection and diversity. This is achieved through enabling women to share and learn craft, professional and cooking skills with the potential to develop as entrepreneurs. WCH produces high quality, pr

emium products such as bags and jewellery out of recycled and donated material. These products are then sold at markets, community events and cafes/retail outlets to generate a sustainable income for the Hub and the individual women. Additionally, WCH organises cooking events and exhibitions to combine skills, celebrate diversity and generate conversation. Through these meaningful interactions with the broader community, the women are able to enhance their soft skills and forge new friendships.
