Photo Dump! If you’ve been with me from the start, do you recall any of these designs from my early CAD start back in 2018? Well here they are… my experimental pieces, something simplistic and minimal.

I’ve realised a few days ago that I have skewed off from my initial business idea from when I first started in the industry and the reason why I started.

The event which finally made me realise this is the recent encounter with a new client I’ve had. When you try to make life happen and grab every opportunity to make money, unfortunately some jobs you say “yes” to so you don’t lose the opportunity. However it then costs more of your peace and all for a return of a minimal fee.

This was a really tiny job btw, and a lot of time wasted on my end. But I said yes and went through with it. I’ve realised there is no point in being “busy” just for sake of it. Best is to wait for the right job and focus on the right opportunity. That I must stay true to my path. I have let go of creating pieces which I have once thought of making and started focusing on mass market and what people desire on a mass scale.

What I’d like to do is go back to my starting roots and to my original design ideas and hopefully the right clients will find me which leads me into a saturated market.

For example Doing repairs isn’t taking long sometimes, but at the same time some people take more mental space then required and on more than one occasion this happens. So we do have to make choices of what is necessary and beneficial for us. Yes I do say yes at times because we all need to eat, though I do want to do an experiment in my business and follow along the initial design path.

Recently I have come across a few profiles of jewellery artists and I almost started crying as I admired them and for doing what they love. It takes so much courage and patience to do this and perhaps I’ll even have to find a part time job to have ends meet. But I hope the Choice will be the right one.

Im terrible at posting custom jewellery I make for clients, I get in such a rush to get it to them that many times I never took a final nice photo. The ongoing steps get missed to be documented 😅 as hands are busy. This is one of those times I actually got to document steps which was a few months ago and only now got to creating this video. A custom wedding band for my dear friend! 🥰💕

I have gone back to school!!! Started tafe at the start of the year to commence my journey in official jewellery manufacturing. As a CAD designer I created all the pieces on the computer and the bench skills are quite foreign to me like a language which I used with a translator 😅 I could do some things and polish up pieces. I could do the things which I needed to. As I’d like to expend my skill set and learn how to make things from scratch and officially know which tools do what to have a more hands on practice, and more control of my jewellery production and understanding for better design.
