A cavallo selvaggio (wild horse)
doesn’t ask permission to run.

This piece was made for Elena,
who is asking herself the questions that matter.
Not what do I do, but who am I.

She wanted to blend the Ascend ring
with something that gave her the feeling of a wild horse. Elegant, free and fierce.

A green sapphire centre,
pavé green sapphires all the way around ,
like a horse’s mane through the wind.

I was looking at the water when it catches
the light of the sun..and isn’t that just magical?🤩😍

Goccia came from that moment.

A blue sapphire at the centre, deep as open water. Lighter sapphires surrounding it the way sunlight shatters on water. Alive with it.

This one is for me…. And I Llllove it!!!🔥🤩

Nirvana (my son) at the centre as
a sapphire he chose himself.
I wanted something close to the colour of his eyes.

I’ve always loved the snake as a symbol.
Endless shedding, endless transformation.
Becoming something new without
stopping being yourself.
In parenthood that symbol feels like it’s on steroids.

And to stay light and playful, a wave.
A reminder to move like water.
Follow the current. Adapt. Stay fresh.
Trust the flow.

I saw this talisman while sitting in meditation.
A message came with it:
“You are receiving light. Hope is around you.”
An emerald at the centre,
Sapphires surrounding it.
On the back,
one word engraved: Receive.
This piece is being made now.
I trust the vision that came through me,
I don’t know yet who it’s for,
But I think that person already knows.

Susan came to me with a 7-carat citrine
she’d bought after seeing one of my posts
about citrine, the stone of joy and abundance.

A stone that size carries a lot.
I thought,
“well, let’s get her aaaall the joy
and abundance then.!!” 💛🫶✨

And a volcano imagine came to me.
Two V-shaped pathways climbing up the sides,
each one set with small citrines leading the eye upward, toward the eruption at the peak.

The big citrine doesn’t sit on the ring,
It rises out of it.

It all start with a feeling.

I work with conversations.

Two years ago I was on holiday in Bali.
During a massage, out of nowhere, I heard the words “you have to create a Talisman.”
So I did, for myself.
And then I forgot about it.

when it came back, in a different form.

What else can this become?

The pieces in the back of the drawer.
The chain that was your grandmother’s
but doesn’t quite suit you.
The ring from a chapter that closed.
The earrings you loved a decade ago
and haven’t worn since.

They mean something,

I fell in love with the color of these sapphires
a deep green, softened with a smoky haze, touched with hints of mustard.
They carry that feeling of autumn 🍂 🍁

Fall is a charm shaped by the idea of change,

I was thinking about my “why” behind Altra.
It’s funny, because where it started
is quite different from where it is now.
In the beginning, it was simply my creative outlet.
I’ve always felt that part of me strongly, and through Altra I found a way to express it in my own language.

As Altra evolved, I did too… and vice versa.
“Altra” in Italian means “the other”.
And in many ways, it’s felt like a shared journey between me and her..growing, evolving, and shaping each other along the way.

As things unfolded, the bespoke side of my work naturally took its own direction, I followed,
and it has become a layered and enriching part of my life,
that I looooove so much!!

I see my today’s “why”
As to be a channel for your story
(This is not woo woo stuff)
to translate them into something you can hold.
Because meaning, is everything.

And that’s what jewellery is, for me.
Something that holds a piece of you,
a core memory of your life.

Anyway.. that’s me today! ☺️
