Established in 1974 IMP Jewellery specialises in quality handmade diamond jewellery. Our collection includes engagement and special occasion rings, earrings, pendants, diamond set bracelets, and bangles that are designed in house and made in our Melbourne workshop. Selected sapphire, ruby, and emerald jewellery is complimented with South Sea, Tahitian and gold pearls. We also have a varied range of gold jewellery that is locally made and imported. We buy, sell, and trade estate jewellery - antique and contemporary.

Remodelling jewellery has been a part of Imp since we began in 1974. We had the pleasure of resetting a beautiful diamond a client had purchased from us 25 years ago. She gifted the ring to her daughter for a significant birthday. The daughter came to see us to have it remodelled into a design she would wear. We created or classic Halo setting. Still showcasing her mother’s diamond in a design made for her and something that still has special sentimental value. We think Mum may want the ring back when she sees the new design!! 🙂. The ring will now be enjoyed for many more years to come. Speak to us about having your jewellery redesigned, recreating precious memories.

October’s second birthstone is the beautiful Tourmaline. With its array of colors from pinks and greens to the very rare and stunning neon blue pariba tourmaline. There is a color to suit everyone. The stone is thought to inspire artistic expression and also be associated with friendship. Those wearing the stone would have long lasting friendships. Opal, the traditional October birthstone, is believed to have originated in India (the source of the first opals brought to the Western world), where in Sanskrit it was called upala, a “precious stone.” .” In ancient Rome, this became opalus. Most opals are valued for their shifting colors in rainbow hues – a phenomenon known as “play-of-color.” New to our collection is this spectacular 17.87ct black opal, with the most amazing play of color, held in a handmade frame and diamond set bail. A scintillating 1.63ct old mine cut diamond with diamond set shoulders.
