Boo! 👻 It’s been a while…
Just over a year ago, we headed off on a family holiday to the UK and I pressed pause on Darling Bee, thinking it would be a short break. But as it turned out, I needed more time.
My physical and mental health had been a bit wobbly, and somewhere along the way, my attitude towards my beloved little business shifted. I’d lost the spark. Wholesale production left me drained, creatively stuck, and honestly—I couldn’t even look at it anymore.
But recently, something changed.
The spark is back. ✨
I’ve started making again, just for the joy of it. Letting myself play, explore, and reconnect with what I love about making jewellery—not for mass orders, not for anyone else’s timeline, just for me.
So rather than jumping back in to churn out the same pieces, I’m choosing to go slow. I’ll be sharing what I'm working on, what I'm thinking about, and what it's like trying to live a creative life in middle age (and mild chaos 😅). I’m tired, sure—but making things gives me energy. And I’ve missed this.
