Plot twist, these two shapes require completely different diamonds.
Emerald and radiant look like cousins from across the room. Up close, they're playing by completely different rules.
Emerald's open, step-cut facets act like a hallway of mirrors, with any inclusion or hint of tint having nowhere to hide. It needs a diamond with genuinely strong clarity and colour.
Radiant's faceting is busier and brighter, which makes it naturally more forgiving on grade without losing any of that sparkle.
The certificate can tell you the grade, but it can't tell you how that grade will actually look inside each of these cuts.
Neither shape is the better choice, they just ask different things of the diamond sitting inside them.
