Happy 16 years! I can’t believe it’s been 16 years today since I officially opened the doors of my shop for the first time! What a crazy ride it’s been. I won’t lie and pretend it’s all been amazing. There’s plenty of times I’ve thought about closing - but today is not one of those days. Today I think I could easy be open for another 16 years. I am so grateful for everyone who supported me over this time. Especially those who encouraged me and believed in my dreams right back in the beginning, and the ones who never let me give up on the hard days. So it’s seems fitting to share a photo of the ring I made for my Mum for her significant birthday a few years ago. Mum was the person who has always been supportive - she told me “you can do anything you set your mind to”. (She also told me that when my feet stop growing I can have as many pairs of shoes as I want - she failed to mention the part about me having to pay for them myself). I might not have had the guts to dive into this business feet first without her faith in me for all those years - before I even dreamt of being a jeweller. Feeling very lucky for all the wonderful people who support me, and for the opportunity to make art for living. Here’s to the next 16 years!!!!
