2. **Baking Soda Paste**
For tougher stains, make a paste with 1 part water and 3 parts baking soda. Rub the paste onto the jewelry using a soft cloth or brush, then rinse and dry. This works well for silver and tarnished items but isn’t recommended for soft gemstones.

3. **Vinegar and Baking Soda (for Silver)**
Place your silver jewelry in a bowl, sprinkle baking soda over it, and pour white vinegar on top. It will fizz. Let it sit for 2–3 hours, then rinse and dry thoroughly. Avoid this for jewelry with delicate stones.

4. **Toothpaste**
Non-gel, non-abrasive toothpaste can be gently rubbed onto jewelry with a soft toothbrush or cloth. Rinse off with warm water and dry. This is best for silver items but should be used sparingly on other metals.

5. **Hydrogen Peroxide Soak**
