STAY GOLD by Mme Bovary is een prachtige juwelenwinkel met een superleuke selectie gifts in het historische centrum van Antwerpen, gelegen tegen de kathedraal aan prachtig pleintje. Sinds dit jaar bieden wij ook workshops aan in ons gezellig ‘Atelier de Stay Gold’ op de eerste verdieping. Sinds meer dan 10 jaar zijn we een vaste waarde voor handgemaakte sieraden en mooie betekenisvolle geschenken zoals incense, chrystals, boeken, tarotkaarten, sjaals en dergelijke.

What happens when you binge-watch Etsy instead of Bridgerton... 👀

This might sound crazy, but I’ve been scanning the Etsy website every night for jewellery parts since 2013. I can name almost any finding, bead cap, clasp or connector in two seconds flat… whereas I still have no clue who half the Bridgerton characters are. 😂

Some people unwind with Netflix.
I unwind by spotting the difference between gold-filled, brass and stainless steel at 1AM like it’s an Olympic sport.

At this point my search history is basically:
“tiny connector thingy but make it vintage”
“14k gold plated but affordable”
“why is this bead cap suddenly discontinued 😭”

For a long time I thought being highly sensitive was something I had to “fix.”
To toughen up. Push through. Ignore the overwhelm.

But the older I get, the more I realize my sensitivity was never the problem.
It’s actually the reason I feel things so deeply, notice energy instantly and connect so strongly to people, spaces and emotions.

Being an HSP means my nervous system needs different things.
More softness. More quiet. More grounding. More moments to come back to myself.

So these little rituals became part of my everyday life.
Smudging with Palo Santo after overwhelming days.
Lighting candles at night.
Drinking herbal tea on the sofa.
Reading books that expand my intuition and spirituality.
Using crystals to clear and protect my energy.

Not because it’s “perfect” or aesthetic.
But because these things genuinely help me feel calmer, clearer and more connected.

I’ve stopped judging myself for needing slower moments.
Sensitive people are not weak.
We just experience the world more intensely.

And maybe protecting your energy is not selfish after all.
Maybe it’s self respect. ✨
