The TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E5 Running Edition is made for that moment. The 45mm case is sandblasted titanium, light enough to forget on your wrist. The pushers are built into the case. The bezel carries a non-linear scale made for running. A PPG sensor reads your heart rate from the wrist, and the stretch strap stays in place from the first kilometre to the last.

Since 1815, Breguet has kept time for the French Royal Navy. The new Marine 5517 and Marine Chronographe 5527 carry that history into today.

Look closely at the dial. It's gold, hand-guilloché with the "Quai de l'Horloge" motif, named after the Paris quay where Abraham-Louis Breguet opened his workshop. Each shade, from ice blue to black, shows the pattern differently.

The details stay at sea. The seconds hand carries the "B" of the maritime Bravo flag. The crown guard follows the shape of a wave. Turn the watch over and the gold rotor takes the lines of a ship's rudder.

The new TAG Heuer () Carrera Chronograph Sport comes in a teal green sunray dial with silver counters, built for contrast on the wrist. The redesigned fl**ge and tricompax layout keep the chronograph functions easy to read at a glance, backed by Arabic numerals and a ceramic bezel that resists scratches and fading over time. Case is 42mm in steel.

Inside runs the in-house Calibre TH20-00, with an 80-hour power reserve. Leave it off the wrist for the weekend, it's still running when you pick it back up.
