De eerste editie van VCBF was fenomenaal. Onze meest ambitieuze dromen werden overtroffen door resultaten waarvan wij zelf onder de indruk zijn & blijven. De opkomst van talloze consumenten, fans, suporters en Vleternaars enerzijds, de fantastische bieren anderzijds, kunnen wij alleen maar tevreden zijn. Dit festival kon alleen maar een succes worden met behulp van een klein leger efficiënte medewerkers. Zonder deze kranige vrouwen en kerels was ons dit nooit gelukt. Wij hebben hier geen woorden voor behalve een fenomenale dank u wel! Een extra feestje wordt binnenkort ingericht ten voordele van dit fantastische team. Nogmaals dank u wel!
Na de eerste prijs van medewerkers, komen uiteraard de lijstjes. Je kent ze wel, beste hier, beste daar, doch ook wij gaan ons hier aan bezondigen. We gaan nu eenmaal graag één maal per week ten biechte.
Hier komt ze, de Top Drie lijst van verzamelde jetons ...
Proficiat aan de thuisbrouwer Robert Holcomb uit Dallas Texas USA en die de gouden prijs won. Deze kerel wist het publiek te winnen met maar enkele bieren die hij bracht uit het verre Texas, bravo Robert. Vervolgens heb je Mantra Artisan Ales, wederom uit USA, die zilver haalden. Het Uiltje Brewing Company team uit Nederland wist het publiek alsnog te overtuigen door deze verzekerde bronzen plaats.
Moraal van dit verhaal is dat de 40 brouwers die op dit festival hun bieren brachten, allen top in deze kleine wereld zijn. Allen aan elkaar gewaagd durft men al eens te zeggen. Het verschil van 1 tot 40 is dan ook beduidend klein. Proficiat aan allen die er waren. Uw kunnen was voor deze eerste editie ons succes.

The first edition of VCBF was phenomenal. Our most ambitious dreams were surpassed by results of which we ourselves remain stunned. The attendance of countless consumers, fans, supporters and locals on one hand, the fantastic beers on the other hand, and as a result, we can only be satisfied. This festival could only be a success with the aid of a small army of efficient volunteers. Without these brave women and guys, we’d never have managed. We have no words other than a phenomenal thank you! An additional party will soon be arranged for the benefit of this fantastic team. Thank you again!
After the first prize of volunteers, obviously the lists will follow. You know them, best here, best there, are also going to invade us here.
Here she comes, the Top Three list of collected tokens ...
Congratulations to the home brewer Robert Holcomb (Publius Ale Company) from Dallas Texas USA who won the gold award. This guy managed to win the audience on his own with just a few beers he brought from far Texas, hail Robert. Then you have Mantra Artisan Ales, again from USA, who took silver. The Uiltje Brewing Company team from the Netherlands still convinced the public of this insured bronze place.
The moral of this story is that the 40 brewers who brought their beers from around the globe to this festival are all top in this very small world. The difference from 1 to 40 is therefore significantly small. Congratulations to all who were there. Your proficiency for this first edition was our success.
