Autódromo de Tarumã in Brazil hosted the 2nd International Alfa Romeo Meeting — dozens of cars from Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina gathering in the south of the country for the Copa Mario Rambo regularity race, and for something harder to put into words: the kind of community that only a brand with this much soul can build.
Best of Show went to a 1968 Giulietta in blue. The only blue Italians know how to make.

A prova reuniu entusiastas do automobilismo clássico por cinco dias no interior paulista — entre estradas bucólicas, o Antiquário Vila del Capo, a pista do Raceville em Brotas e uma coleção especial em Itápolis.

The ROUE HDS brings us to the period where we relied heavily on inspiration from renowned functionalist Dieter Rams, a name synonymous with brutally beautiful, industrially iconic German engineering and design. The elements of the HDS offer a deft blend of German minimalist expression inspired by the best of Rams’s work for Braun.

All three versions feature a bold oversized outer minutes ring surrounding two separate hours tracks – one housing clean Arabic numerals, the other line markers.

The separate concentric rings give off a stepped effect, enhanced by the subtly darker gray of the outer minutes ring. Note the hands: in lieu of staid, straight pieces, we’ve tapered them, adding some contrasting curve and liveliness to the domination of straight lines. What’s more, the gasket yellow is echoed through the dial emblem and seconds hand.
