Vendors wanted! Do you love rocks and you have some awesome household goods to sell? Join the Abbotsford Rock and Gem club outdoor tailgate sale. We will have crystals, gem and more, combined with garage sale items to really bring in the audience!
Proceeds benefit the Abbotsford Rock and Gem club, we also make a donation to Central Heights Church for their generous gift of their outdoor lot!

Details : Spaces are $35 for 3 parking spaces, bring your own tables, chairs and source of shade. You can park your car in your space and sell out of your trunk as well!

This weekend in Castlegar!

The Castlegar Rock, Gem and Fossil Show, hosted by the Selkirk Rock & Mineral Club, is an annual event featuring crystals, fossils, jewellery, and lapidary supplies.
Dates: Saturday, June 6 & Sunday, June 7
Hours: Saturday 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Sunday 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Location: Castlegar & District Community Complex
Features: Geode splitting, 50+ dealers, lapidary demonstrations, kid's activities, and a geode/rock identification station

Vendors wanted : This is an invitation to be a vendor at our club tailgate on June 20, 2026, at the Central Heights Church parking lot, 1661 McCallum Rd., Abbotsford. Set up starting at 7 am, open to the public 9 am to 4 pm. Cleanup by 5:30 pm. Bring your own table(s) & tent cover for rain or shine. The cost is $35 for up to 3 parking stalls, giving you space for sales tables, a tent & a vehicle. Bathrooms are at Wendy’s on the north side of the church on Hawthorne Ave. and at the gas station on the south side of the lot, on the corner of McCallum & King Roads. We will have food trucks on site again this year.

** Please note, as this lot is not club property, the church has asked us to not allow tarot card readers as vendors.

Your spot & map will be emailed to you a few days prior to June 20, 2026. We request that spots be prepaid this year, in order to ensure we have adequate time to set up our space plan. Please pre-pay before June 13 to guarantee your spot.

We are looking forward to having our annual Christmas Potluck!

No meeting this month. Instead, we will be having our Abbotsford Rock and Gem club Christmas potluck on Tuesday, December 16th at 6:00pm.🎄 Bring your family and enjoy yourself.
Bring one dish to share, plate & cutlery.

Optional: gift exchange! One rock-related gift is worth a minimum of $10. All gifts are placed in the center, and only those participating will be included in the exchange. You may also renew your membership for 2026 if you haven't already.

Field Trip this Sunday!

Field trip for Lexxite and Nickel Silicate, Meeting at 9am Nov 23rd at the Petro Can 27052 Baker rd north of Hope and there will be a 10k drive up a forest service road with one rough patch from meeting point to the site, Tools needed are small sledge hammer and chisel and you can also just pick up material laying around, You must be a member of any club within the BCLS to go on the trip and must provide a valid membership card to trip leader, If you are planning on attending or need more info please email trip leader Trevor at [email protected]
