After 82 years, Purdy's Jewellery is drawing to an end as we are retired.

Virtually all jewellery is sold, but we are still selling displays, furniture, fixtures, decorations and more at the store, 61 Bolton Street, Bobcaygeon until mid-September!

We will be open 'by appointment' or 'by chance'.

For those with repairs with us, we are still in the process of completing them. We will contact you when they are ready for pickup.

Thank you so much for your love. It was our pleasure and honour to have KLAWS in front of our store over the years! Looking forward to seeing y'all this midnight madness! Go see them, people!! They do such an awesome much needed job for our pets.

Join us on Saturday, August 1 from 7–11 PM as we take part in this wonderful community event. We’ll be set up outside Purdy's Jewellery & Gems, who have graciously welcomed us year after year and given us a space to share our work, connect with our community, and spread the word about the animals we help.

This year is especially meaningful, as it will be our final year at Purdy’s. After an incredible 82 years as a family-owned business, Purdy’s will be closing its doors, on or before September 5. Until then, they are continuing to offer sales throughout the store, so it’s a wonderful opportunity to stop in, show your support, and celebrate this beloved local business.

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to the Purdy family for the many years of support, kindness, and generosity they have shown KLAWS. Their willingness to host our table has meant so much to us and has helped us reach people who may not otherwise know about the work we do.

To Our Valued Customer

After 82 years of being a family owned business, Purdy’s Jewellery will be closing our doors on or before this Labour Day Weekend (Sept 5, 2026).

We want to thank all of our valued customers for your support over the years. It has truly been a pleasure serving each and every one of you these past 41 years.

We purchased the Purdy’s Jewellery in 1985 from Aunt Sheila and Uncle Grant Purdy who operated Purdy’s Jewellery the preceding 41 years from 1944 to 1985.

Retirement is calling out to us. We want to spend more time with our grandkids, do some travelling, get more involved in the community and of course, continue with our current passions and hobbies.

To celebrate our retirement, we are having a Store Wide Closing Out Sale where all remaining stock will be on sale starting at 20-40% off (excluding services). Shop early for best selection. All sales are Final.

Over the coming weeks, we will be focusing on winding down our inventory. Please note that all gift certificates and credit notes need to be redeemed before August 15, 2026. All outstanding repairs also need to be picked up by August 15. In addition, all showcases, furniture and displays will be for sale.

We want to thank all of our staff who have supported us over the years. We couldn’t have done it without their love and dedication. A special thanks to Darlene, who currently works for us and to Linda & Lorelei who helped us out in the past for many years.

We would also like to thank Doug Gardner, our goldsmith for over 30 years! Doug started his career early as an apprentice at his dad & uncle’s goldsmithing shop. Unfortunately, for health reasons, Doug has had to give up his goldsmithing career. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

As we reflect back on the past 41 years, we are incredibly grateful for the support, trust, and loyalty you’ve shown us. This fantastic journey wouldn't have been possible without you, our valued customer.
