"We have been mountain and marrow,
cliff face and broken shell,
carried in the long, patient mouth of the sea
until we learned the language of becoming small" - sand

For over a decade Kuriosities has been quietly collecting your stories and translating them into textures. Tangible touchstones that can carry an entire coastline's salt-stained sigh.

Available with PEI sand...or let us tell your own story with sand that you have gathered from a beach dear to your heart.

Jewellery shaped by wild coasts, and quiet storytelling. -K

Clean lines meet the soul of Island shores. The tension between something so contained and architectural, and the wildness of the gentle lap of waves against the sand. Not so much a contrast, as a place where they softly meet, and each compliment the other.

And because my mind just moves this way, all with the daintiness that makes a Kuriosities piece.

This bespoke ring was a delight to create, from start to finish.

There’s a kind of magic in the workshop this time of year, especially on the heels of our first real storm of the season... The way the windows rattle with the wind, how my tea goes cold far too quickly as hyper-focus sets in, and the basket of Christmas orders that gather on my bench like a million little stories, each waiting their turn.

And then a piece like this one appears to give me pause...I am nothing if not a Crow for sparkling stones... The Cordelia is a ring fit for a forest faerie, textured like bark and ancient mythology, at its centre cradling a teal sapphire the way dusk holds its last bit of light. She feels like she wandered in from a mossy clearing and decided to stay...though she is destined to travel.

Creating your holiday pieces is always the heart of my December - long evenings at the bench (in fact I slept at the workshop last night, afraid I would be stormstayed at the farm!), solder smoke curling like chimney wisps, the evwr present quiet hum of focus and intention. It’s busy, and a bit of whirlwind chaos in the creating, but every time a ring or necklace emerges with its own wild little soul, I remember why I love doing this. And oh, I love this little ring, and how she will slip onto someone's finger soon with the sweetest of promises.

With busy polished stained hands, I dream that somewhere soon, one of you will open a box and find a piece of the forest, a piece of the sea, a bit of wide eyed wonder crafted just for you. And *that* is always the best part of my work.

Thank you for another season of letting these hands make your stories tangible.

Love,
K

Once, there was a summer that smelled of sunscreen and saltwater. We spent it barefoot - pockets heavy with shells, hair tangled from the wind.

Somewhere between the tide pools and the pier, we found a starfish. It felt cool and certain in our hands, like it had always been there, waiting.

Our sand-embossed sterling silver starfish pendants are little echoes of that day -
textured like the shore, kissed with a single 3mm gemstone:
• Tanzanite, for the deepening twilight
• Pink tourmaline, for the first blush of morning
• Blue topaz, for the endless sky

Limited quantities just swept into the shop with the tide...

The sea never leaves the same pebble twice.

It tosses and shapes, softens and forgets… until one is left behind, just so.

The Navigator Rings are born of the same quiet tide; each carefully embossed with sand gathered from the shores of PrinceEdward Island, each carrying a compass so small you can barely see it, and a diamond no wider than a wish.

There are only 29. Some sizes have only one.
Once they’re claimed, the map is complete.

Early access opens tonight at 6pm Atlantic, but only for those who hear the call. Comment a  🧭, or “Add me” to be added to our Early Access list before 5pm July 17.

Tomorrow, the tide will turn for everyone else. 🌊

Will you follow the compass that calls to you?
