This time of the year the eagles are coming to the valley and wing up in the sky in couples, sometime a crow try to bother them, the eagles keep their posture, keep flying and scare them away. The flowers are starting to bloom and eventually form puddles of petals that I have a hard time swiping.
Some of the few birds left, do you remember when they were so many, chirping our days? Some are raking the fields for seeds and crumbs, with a the morning shiver that we will regret in a couple of months.
Let's hope the war end soon, seasons return to be what they used to and hopes are re-established

They are uncommon, in our highly homogenized sense of style, old mine cut, European or fancy, call them as you want they are more difficult and more rewarding, (to me), gemstones, especially diamonds. They call for a radical approach, uncompromising. The organic shapes and uneven faceting make it impossible to fit the gem in a classic setting, it will make the composition, axed on symmetry, out of wack. Finally my sense of aesthetics based on organic nodules, inspired by nature, can rest and create. This is one of my favorite examples, the gem is set high, towering over the finger but not forcibly to show it off. Are you familiar with an eternity ring?
An eternity ring g is typically a wedding ring but it can also be a celebratory ring to signify an achievement or any other important point in life. The eternity ring is caracterized by a line of equal gemstones, often diamonds, set all around the surface of the ring in a way that it is impossible to distinguish a first and a last.
This ring with its organic texture and soft feel is inspired by nature, the gentle washing of the sea on the shore, the sand and the rocks that over centuries transform and soften the sharp edges and corners.
Such as life that make us wiser and calmer, or at least it should.

That time the gem was really big and so special looking I went all the way to make a gold color that matched it perfectly.

Most of the time a jeweller is fully committed to the creation of his work. Fine detailing every little aspect of a jewel is a highly demanding job to be executed with attention.
In this photo you can see me drawing a pattern inspired by nature. I was drawing a ivy leaves pattern on the ring to be then carved out and shaped with spacial tools called graves and cisels.

Working with your hands is one of the greatest joy I have. I am passionate about driving my tools, shaping, forging. Forcing the flame over the cold metal to soften it and make it malleable again. The pure gold become almost adhesive and stick on the silver in an almost magical way. I like to take a minute, go for a walk in nature, see the leaves budding, the scent of the forest. Then, with my senses intoxicated I return to the bench and let my imagination flow.
So my pieces are born, mostly from an abrupt need to put in a three-dimensional form the emotion triggered from an event.
