💚The chips are made up of what would otherwise be considered wasted product
💙You can add a subtle touch of colour of your choosing using very little materials, tying it in with other colours in your space
❤️Every terrazzo piece is perfectly unique, and impossible to re create or duplicate

In a time where so much art is under attack from soulless copies, drop shippers, mass production and AI we are looking to spend more time this year creating things that cant be re created, or duplicated.

All of our Resincrete items are made in the smallest batches, sometimes only one at a time, to ensure the quality and attention to detail is poured into every piece.

🖤JUNE CALENDAR 🖤

Did you guys notice the tents at the end of May by the 17th Street Bridge while I was away in Iceland? That's the Comox Valley Makers Market!

They will be there every weekend of the summer! [excluding July 25th as they will be downtown for Market Days] Watch my Page at the start of each month to see when you can spot me there in July and August too!

With so much space to work with we will have lots to offer and be working hard to bring in lots of new styles over the summer so that those who come frequently will get first pick from our new launches!

Some artists will rotate or alternate, so pop by frequently all summer as you can definitely see something new every time you visit!

We are off to Iceland! We are renting a camping van and travelling around the country for 9 days so we will be out of office till June! Artistry resumes when we return and prepare ourselves for our next round of markets this summer.

In the meantime check out the other vendors of the Comox Valley Makers Market on May 23rd and May 30th at the farm stand on Comox Rd by the 17th Street Bridge!

🖤TIME TO SEAL🖤

We use a finishing wax on our eco resin items that is made up of beeswax, carnauba wax and plant oils.

🖤Gives items a richer colour, while maintaining the feature I love most about this medium, the smooth stone like texture!

🖤Makes them water resistant, water will bead off rather than soaking into the piece. Keep your piece clean with a damp cloth to ensure a long lifespan!

🖤Our wax of choice is food grade, HOWEVER Eco Resin has not been tested for Food Safety in Canada, so we do not recommend using them for food at this time.

🖤FRESH OUT OF THE MOLD🖤 ~Unsealed~

That moment when you get your technique down for perfect saturation of black pigment on a Resincrete base that is completely white. 😎

How did I do it?

🖤Black Iron Oxide Pigment Powder ~ Mixed very very well into the powder base BEFORE activation. [Measured at approx. 7% of the total volume of the powder, in grams - 5-7% is best for vivid results. Do not exceed 10% or it could disturb the ratio required for a good cure]

🖤Black Liquid Soluble Pigment [designed specifically for JDiction's Resincrete] Mixed very well BEFORE combining with the already pigment mixed powder. [About 1-2 drops per 5 grams of water]

Colouring both the powder and water independently before they are combined has given me the results I am personally the most happy with.

My theory is because I spend less time mixing the colour thoroughly as the product begins to activate, that I have more working time getting everything into the mold edges with fewer bubbles before it begins to set. This product has a very short working window and requires me to work in small batches.

I have not tested this technique with other colours or eco resin alternatives to Resincrete yet, but plan to try other iron oxide shades to see if this works with colours too! Stay tuned for future experiments 🖤

These will be available in RED and BLACK!

They are made by hand with Polymer Clay and Golden Bezels, and Embedded with 18K Gold Posts, then sealed with UV Resin on the face.

I am only bringing 2 pairs of the red to the market at the Comox Legion today from 10-3 for the limited price of $15 each so grab em in time for Mothers Day!

~The rest of the collection will drop in June at their planned price point of $18~
