I am deer/hoof clan.

I'm an Algonquin-Finnish woman and I am a mother to 3 beautiful children.
I am a 2 time mini business owner, beader, quiller and I preferably work with birch bark. I'm always trying to per-fect my skills so I can share the knowledge I have gained.

I am the Program Coordinator at our Cultural Centre here in P*kwakanagan. With that, I have the privilege to gain new skills and teachings to roll out programming to P*k members & community members.

These past few months have been tough to push myself to bead (apart from my kids regalia needs). I have been focused on learning how to master working with birch bark, practicing quilling, and recently got to help 2 lovely ikwewag flesh scrape a moose hide.
Reclaiming these old practices and teachings have been by far the most rewarding.

My great great grandfather built the worlds largest birch bark canoe in 1955. His son, my great grandfather also worked with birch bark for some time. After 2 generations of these skills being lost, I hope to help restore a practice through baskets, jewelry, regalia, and hopefully one day a mini canoe ✨️wishful thinking✨️.

That being said, I do the odd beaded order. Just depending on mom life & extra curriculars.

For the past few months, I had the honour to create Mr & Mrs Zadow's wedding jewelry 🌿

Today, I had the pleasure of seeing all these pieces on such ravishing people. The bride was serving flawless indigiqueen realness, groom looked pure ishkode 🔥 and the bridesmaids looked real deadly.
